The 'Crossfire to Crossroads' academic workshop will focus on three critical areas of migration studies: the decision-making processes that lead to migration, the experiences and challenges of migration journeys, and the dynamics of interactions between refugees and host communities.

Through academic presentations by researchers from the Peace Research Institute Oslo, Makerere University and Refugee Led Organisation Network [RELON], we aim to foster a deeper understanding of these interconnected themes that will enrich both theoretical perspectives and real-world migration policies and practices. By bringing together junior and senior scholars, we seek to strengthen the future of migration research and address related issues comprehensively.
