Debarati Guha-Sapir​: The Science and Politics of Death Tolls

The 2018 PRIO Annual Peace Address was held by Debarati Guha-Sapir, the Director of the Centre for Research on the Epidemiology of Disasters (CRED)  and a Professor at University of Louvain School of Public Health  in Brussels, Belgium. She spoke on The Science and Politics of Death Tolls: Hunger, Disasters, and War from her perspective of epidemiology. 

Comments were provided by Morten Rostrup, Senior Physician at the Department of Acute Medicine, Oslo University Hospital, and Professor at the University of Oslo. Rostrup co-founded the Norwegian branch of Médecins Sans Frontières, and is the former President of the MSF International Council. 

The Address was introduced and moderated by PRIO Director Henrik Urdal.
