Torunn L. TryggestadTorunn L. Tryggestad
Torunn is a Researcher at PRIO and the project leader. She has published several articles on Women, Peace and Security as a normative framework, and is one of the main resource persons in Norway on issues related to Women, Peace and Security.  Torunn is one of the principal authors of the Norwegian Government’s National Action Plan on the Implementation of UNSC Resolution 1325 on Women, Peace and Security. She holds an M.Phil degree in political science from the University of Oslo. Email: torunn@prio.no



Helga HernesHelga Hernes
Helga is our Senior Advisor. She is a former Norwegian ambassador to Bern, Switzerland, Vienna and the UN organizations, and to Slovakia. In the Ministry of Foreign Affairs she has also been Special Envoy for Peacekeeping Operations and has served as State Secretary for the Labor Government. She has published books and articles on a wide variety of topics, and has served in numerous Public Service functions both in Norway and abroad. Helga is one of the principal authors of the Norwegian Government’s National Action Plan on the Implementation of UNSC Resolution 1325 on Women, Peace and Security. Email: helga@prio.no



Inger SkjelsbækInger Skjelsbæk
Inger is Senior Researcher and Deputy Director at PRIO, and holds a PhD in Psychology from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU). She is currently working on a project focusing on sexual violence crimes from the Bosnian war and is leading another research project, which aims to build up a global database on sexual violence in armed conflicts (SVAC). Jenny K. LorentzenJenny K. Lorentzen
Jenny is the Department Manager for the Social Dynamics department at PRIO. For the Gender, Conflict and Peacebuilding project she is the co-editor of the PRIO Gender, Peace and Security Update, and organizes the High-Level seminar on Gender and Inclusive Mediation Processes. Jenny holds an MSc in International Relations from the Norwegian University of Life Sciences and the Norwegian Institute of International Affairs (NUPI). Email: jenlor@prio.no

 

 

Christin OrmhaugChristin Ormhaug
Christin is the lead researcher on an OSCE study that compares the development of National Action Plans (NAPs) and other national strategies regarding the implementation of UN Security Council resolution 1325 on Women, Peace and Security. The OSCE study is carried out in association with the Gender, Conflict and Peacebuilding Project. Christin has recently handed in her PhD studying the effects of civil war on maternal and child health at the Norwegian University of Life Sciences. Email: christin@prio.no
