Lorentzen, Jenny & Julie Marie Hansen (2016) DDR through a Gender Lens in Nepal and Myanmar, PRIO Gender, Peace and Security Update, 2016: PRIO.
The lead story in this issue of
the GPS Update is an interview with PRIO’s research partners from
Nepal and Myanmar about the new project ‘Gender Equality, Peace and Security in
Nepal and Myanmar’.
In this issue you can also read about the field visit that
Norwegian members of the Nordic Women Mediators network recently took to
Cyprus, and a report from PRIO’s Torunn L. Tryggestad about her field mission
to Tajikistan
and Kyrgyzstan. As usual, the GPS Update also gives you an
update on relevant events and publications which might be of interest to our
readership.
The PRIO Gender, Peace and Security Update is an electronic newsletter launched by the PRIO Centre on Gender, Peace and Security in response to growing interest among the public for information about women, peace and security issues. The newsletter will also keep readers informed of the latest developments both internationally and in Norway in relation to UN Security Council Resolution 1325 (2000) on Women, Peace and Security and subsequent resolutions.
