Politicians, researchers, and the media often take country of origin or ethnicity as a starting point when they discuss integration and belonging. In this document we discuss integration processes from a temporal perspective. With a focus on age at time of immigration, length of residence in Norway and individual life cycle stage, we find many similarities in our informants’ thoughts about integration and belonging, regardless of their country of origin.
