Responsibilities include:

  • Provision of support and assistance to the Director (communication and correspondence, time management, meeting preparations, travel arrangements, secretarial)
  • Preparation and follow-up of meetings
  • Coordination and management of projects, operational initiatives and strategic processes
  • Collection and analysis of background information for the Director's engagements (including academic lecturing, policy briefings and media)
  • Assistance to the Director on internal and external communication, across multiple platforms
  • Research assistance to the Director on various projects (literature search, background analysis, quality assurance, preparation of publications)
  • Assistance in writing reports
  • Organization of meetings and events
  • Communication with all involved partners

Qualifications:

  • Relevant higher education at the Master's level in a discipline relevant to the PCC's work and the tasks assigned to the role
  • Thorough understanding of the academic research sector and policy sector and relevant work experience
  • Knowledge of Cyprus, the Cyprus issue and regional realities; understanding of political and diplomatic realities and sensitivities
  • Proven work experience relevant to the PCC's work
  • Excellent communication, organizational and social skills
  • Excellent language skills (English, spoken and written; Greek and/or Turkish spoken and written; knowledge of the other language very highly desirable; other languages)
  • Structured and analytical thought, with the ability to take initiative and responsibility
  • Reliability, integrity, commitment to quality, attention to detail, service mindedness, discretion
  • Excellent drafting skills
  • Self-sufficiency and initiative
  • Ability to work independently and in collaboration with others
  • Ability to relate to all levels of colleagues
  • Ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines
  • Strong IT skills
