PRIO invites applications for a 80% part-time position as a Research Assistant.
PRIO has since 2017 had a portfolio of projects researching security force assistance (SFA) and we now need an assistant to work with our dedicated research team. Our ongoing projects investigate SFA in fragile contexts such as the Afghanistan, East Africa, Ghana, the Sahel, Tunisia and Syria. Key issues we research include the politics of planning and implementing SFA programmes, their intended and unintended consequences; and other aspects of armed forces in developing countries, armed conflict and international interventions. Research methods include fieldwork and the analysis of written sources.
