This report provides an overview of developments in Lebanon with regard to migration. Irregular maritime migration from Lebanon to the EU has risen due to Lebanons ongoing crises, regional instability, and worsening conditions for Syrian refugees. Although migrants fill key labor gaps, Lebanons migration policies are fragmented, and the country offers limited legal protection. Addressing migration drivers through local development and creating a comprehensive legal framework are critical steps forward.
