The 2004 Prisoners' Testament Award (Fangenes testamente) was awarded to Professor Arne Johan Vetlesen of the Institute of Philosophy, University of Oslo, on 19 June. Vetlesen has been chosen for his many important contributions to the debate on evil and genocide, and for his untiring defence of human worth and ethics. The award commemorates the prisoners of Nazi Germany, and will be awarded by "Aktive Fredsreiser" in collaboration with PRIO.
