Legal and Policy Analysis

  • June 2012- Present : 

    Interning at Peace Research Institute Oslo, Norway in the CORE project funded by the European Union Seventh Framework Program.

  • December 2011- January 12 : Interned at Vestas Wind Systems, Corporate Social Responsibility Division, Copenhagen, Denmark. Worked on Policy research and drafting of company social and environmental governance policy based on Principles of UN Global Compact Lead and UN Sustainable Development Program 2011.

  • June -July 2010 : Interned with Justice M.M.S. Bedi , Judge of the Punjab and Haryana High Court, from 30 June to 15 July 2010 .He appraised my work in terms of making notes for the case files based on quashing matters in motion. 
  • June 2008- Decemner 2010 : Interned (intermittently) with Senior Advocate Mr. Bipan Ghai of Punjab and Haryana High Court .He has appraised my work.
  • June 2008 : Summer Course on International Law at Indian Society of International Law,New Delhi held a summer course on the subject for 15 days. From my institute, I was nominated to attend the same.

Consultancy and Free Lancing : 

  • Sep 2011 - May 2012 –Working as team consultant on behalf of Sciences Po, Paris for Life Project For You, France. Developing a think tank to promote young entrepreneurship for deviated youth across the world. 
  • 2010- Poems on themes of ‘War and Peace’ have been accepted by Encyclopaedia Britannica (India) Private Limited, New Delhi for publication. Letter held.
  • Jan -Dec 2010 - Worked as freelance English Language content developer for the publishing house Ratna Sagar P. Ltd. I developed resource material for classes 9 to 12 during the year 2010 .(The work was sent online) Certificate held.
  • June 2008 : Consultant cum Coordinator for Hindustan Times summer workshops on Personality Development for school children. 
  • 2006 - 2008 : Publications With National Print Media published in The Hindustan Times and The Indian Express respectively.

Publications : 

  • Paper proposing Reform in Electoral Laws of India during the Regional Consultation for Electoral Reforms by Ministry of Law and Justice, Government of India, co-sponsored by the Election Commission of India.
  • Recommendations for The National Policy for Children: The National Policy for Children, 2010, is under review by the Government of India. University Institute of Legal Studies, Panjab University was assigned the task to prepare the draft. I assisted in drafting the Recommendations. 
  • The Kampala Convention. Infocus Magazine, was published as an article in the November issue of the Infocus Magazine, Sciences Po Paris, 2011. (pg. 24)
  • Humanitarian Law versus Child Soldiers: A Victory of Good over Evil still Awaited: published in Campus Reporter 2009-10, an annual magazine published by the Panjab University.
  • Igniting a Policy for One Born in a Burning World : A solution for a Better Future for Children Suffering from Humanitarian Crisis: A two day International Multi-disciplinary Congress on Political Science and Global Governance on 26-27 March, 2011 was organized by Rajiv Gandhi NationalUniversity of Law, Patiala.
  • Iraq WikiLeak Evidence: A New War in The Endless War with Endless Consequences: published in the Law Journal of University Institute of Legal Studies, Panjab University in November 2010.
  • Declining Male Female Sex Ratio: A legal Perspective: Women’s Studies Centre, Panjab University, Patiala, organized the International Seminar on Women and Development: Issues and Initiatives, on 26- 27 March, 2010.
  • The Irony Hidden behind the Domestic Violence Act, 2005: All India Law Congress, was held on 27 – 28 March, 2010, at Panjab University, Chandigarh.
  • I. Human Rights: A Social Evolution and Legal Revolution: Oxford Brookes University and Panjab University organized the International Conference on Human Rights :Transforming Dimensions, on 15-16 Feburary,2010.
