Rewrite the future. This research project is a collaborative endeavour between PRIO and Save the Children Norway, and will examine the relationships between education systems, peace, and armed conflict to support Save the Children's Rewrite the Future goals and advocacy campaign. "Rewrite the Future" is a joint Save the Children initiative to promote quality education for children affected by armed conflict. This project will also propose recommendations for how education programs might be designed to ensure that peace, rather than conflict, is promoted in a situation of armed or post-armed conflict. Three countries will serve as sites for the collection of data. Nepal is the first country and is currently emerging from conflict. Liberia is the second country and is in a post-armed conflict phase. Guatemala is the third country and is in a post-post-armed conflict phase.
