Testimonies from Beyond is a documentary exhibition focusing on the victims of war in Myanmar. Through photographs, video clips and personal belongings, the exhibition aims to shed light on the brutalities under which civilians in Myanmar live and resist. The exhibition marks five years since the return to military rule in Myanmar.
In the seminar, representatives from ethnic minorities, civil society groups, and research environments will discuss the humanitarian consequences of the military's war against civilians, and the struggle for peace. One of the panelists is Marte Nilsen, Senior Researcher at PRIO and co-director of the PRIO Centre on Culture, Conflict and Coexistence. The seminar will be held in Norwegian.
Testimonies from Beyond is organized by the Myanmar - CRPH Support Group in Norway. The exhibition is open 10 am-6 pm. 27-30 March.
