Rob Walker is Professor of Political Science at the Universities of Victoria, Keele and Tromsø. He is author of the now canonical Inside/Outside: International Relations as Political Theory (1990). The seminar is organized by PRIO's strategic institute programme 'Arms Against a Sea of Troubles'.
Iver B. Neumann will give a commentary on Walker's talk. Neumann is Associate Professor at the University of Oslo and Senior Research Fellow at the Norwegian Institute for International Affairs (NUPI). Rob Walker's current research deals with contemporary social and political thought, theories of discourse, ideology and culture, philosophy of social science, international political theory, concepts of space and time in political thought, and modernity/postmodernity.
