Dr. Anand Kumar will give a presentation on political developments, governance and democracy in South Asia.

Dr. Anand Kumar (PhD, Jawaharlal Nehru University) is an Associate Fellow at the Institute for Defence Studies and Analyses (IDSA) in New Delhi with a research focus on terrorism challenges in Bangladesh., and is currently a Visiting Fellow at PRIO in connection with the project on ‘Security in South Asia’ under the IDSA-PRIO institutional cooperation. Before joining the Institute, Dr. Kumar was Research Fellow at South Asia Analysis Group and worked on themes related to Bangladesh, Northeast India, SAARC and BIMSTEC. He had also worked as Research Associate at the Institute for Conflict Management on issues related to Bangladesh and Bhutan. Prior to this, he was associated for two years with the project on "India's National Security: Annual Review".
