The conference ‘The legacy of war time rape: mapping key concepts and issues’ organized by the Peace Research Institute Oslo (PRIO) in cooperation with the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, is opened today with a speech by Special Representative of the Secretary-General for Children and Armed Conflict, Ms. Radhika Coomaraswamy. In this capacity, she serves as a moral voice and independent advocate to build awareness and give prominence to the rights and protection of boys and girls affected by armed conflict..
