The Peace Research Institute Oslo (PRIO) invites applications for two full-time, two-year, Postdoc positions within the project Migration Rhythms in Trajectories of Upward Social Mobility in Asia (MigrationRhythms).

The positions provide an opportunity to work at a leading international research institute, located in Norway’s capital city, as part of a project affiliated with the PRIO Migration Centre.

  • One research fellow will be responsible for carrying out qualitative data collection in Hanoi and Manila, including family history interviews and observation, and must have solid qualitative research experience and relevant regional expertise, in addition to excellent analytical and writing skills.

  • The other research fellow will be responsible for coordinating the MigrationRhythms survey, including the survey data collection in Hanoi, Karachi, Manila and Mumbai, and must have extensive survey and statistical analysis expertise, in addition to excellent analytical and writing skills.

The project is funded by the European Research Council (ERC Starting Grant) and is led by Research Professor Marta Bivand Erdal.
