We are very proud to announce that at its meeting 29 March 2012, the PRIO Board awarded Åshild Kolås Research Professor competence.
The Board’s decision is based upon the recommendation from the academic evaluation committee, consisting of Senior Researcher Gunnar M. Sørbø (CMI), Professor Dru Gladney (Pomona College) and Professor Anh Nga Longva (University of Bergen), who have been considering Kolås’ qualifications in respect of PRIO’s Criteria for Promotion to Research Professor.
Based on the evaluation of Kolås’ written works as well as her other relevant experience and fields of competence, the committee regards Åshild Kolås as supremely qualified for being promoted to a position as Research Professor at PRIO.
