Juliane Marga Katharina Stötter left PRIO in 2026. The information on this page is kept for historical reasons.
Juliane was the Managing Editor of the Journal of Peace Research from 2024 until 2026. She oversaw the processing of articles from submission to publication, ensuring the smooth movement of articles through peer review and effective communication with authors, reviewers, editors, and the publisher. Previously, Juliane wrote her thesis on drought and the duration of civil conflicts in collaboration with PRIO through the UiO-PRIO Student Programme.
She is currently pursuing a PhD at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology.

PRIO is excited to announce that its two flagship journals, Journal of Peace Research and Security Dialogue, are now being published by Oxford University Press.
Juliane Stötter has won the 2024 Gløbius Award for her Master’s thesis in Peace and Conflict Studies, Precipitation Variability, Rebel Group Resilience, and the Duration of Civil Conflicts.
Juliane Stötter has successfully defended her MA thesis at the University of Oslo.
Gudrun Østby and Sebastian Schutte are replacing Scott Gates as Editors-in-Chief of the journal, while Juliane Stötter replaces Bertrand Lescher-Nuland as Managing Editor.
