Interests and experience

I am a researcher in social psychology interested in the role that rituals played in our evolutionary past and present. My research focuses on understanding the psychological mechanisms and motivations that guide social learning, belief formation and group identity. My work integrates experimental, quantitative and computational approaches.

Background:

I completed my PhD at the University of Oxford under the supervision of Harvey Whitehouse at the Centre for the Study of Social Cohesion (CSSC) and I am now part of the COM2CIV project led by Júlia Palik.

Some of my other interests also include norm psychology, conspiratorial beliefs, polarization, extremism and the evolutionary origins of music, religion and morality.

If you have something to share or propose that broadly falls within these topics then I am interested to hear about it.
