Developed for police officers preparing to be deployed to a peace operation, this training material addresses three key questions. What is a gender perspective? Why are we working on this? And how can I work with a gender perspective while deployed?
The material builds on existing information and policies from the UN and other large international organizations – primarily the EU, AU and OSCE – on practical experiences and on research. Throughout the reading material, reflective study questions have been inserted that asks the reader to use his/her experiences and material from ongoing missions to go more in-depth into the topic.
