Progress for women’s rights and wellbeing has stalled globally, according to the 2025/26 Women, Peace and Security Index launched today in New York.
A new analysis of authorship patterns in leading peace and conflict journals shows the Journal of Peace Research has made substantial gains in gender diversity over the past two decades, and now stands out as the most gender-inclusive outlet among its peers.
