This report presents descriptive results from the Future Migration as Present Fact (FUMI) survey, broken  broken down by gender, age, and socio-economic status for each of the cities where the survey was carried out. The FUMI survey is a sample survey of young adults in three urban areas in West Africa: Serekunda (The Gambia), Tema (Ghana), and São Vicente (Cape Verde). It has a random sample of 1000 individuals in each location and was carried out through face-to-face interviews in English, Mandinka, Wolof, Twi and Kriol. The survey methodology is documented in a separate report. Future Migration as Present Fact (FUMI) is a research project about the lives and dreams of young adults in three West African cities. We examine thoughts and feelings about the prospect of migrating and make advances in theory and methodology. The project is funded by a European Research Council (ERC) Consolidator Grant.
