The conference presentation opened the Norwegian national conference on gender equality and was aimed at informing policymakers on the impact of the rise of illiberal on gender rights in Europe based on findings from the NFR CONTEST project (2025 - 2028) entitled "How populist illiberal regimes shape gender norms in Europe."
