Ramet, Sabrina P. (2006) Religija i politika u vremenu promene: Katolicka i pravoslavne crkve u centralnoj i jugoistocnoj Evropi [Religion and Politics in a Time of Change: The Catholic and Orthodox Churches in Central and Southeast Europe]. Belgrad.

The collapse of communism in Eastern Europe in 1989/90 unleashed forces of change which affected all spheres of society, including religion. In the course of the post-communist transition, various controversies have rocked the religious sphere, including how to regulate church-state relations, to what degree ecclesiastical demands for the return of confiscated property should be accommodated, whether to introduce religious instruction in state schools, and issues stemming from the recent activity of Mormon and evangelical missionaries in the region. This volume takes up these and other issues, focusing on the Catholic Church in Poland, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, and Croatia, and the Orthodox Church in Serbia, Romania, and Bulgaria.

This volume brings together, in Serbian translation, various works by Sabrina Ramet, published in journals or as book chapters. Certain chapters have been updated, as needed.
