This year marks the 15th anniversary of UN Security Council resolution 1325 on Women, Peace and Security. In 2015, the Security Council will convene a High-level Review to assess progress in implementing the resolution. In preparation for the 2015 High-level Review, the Secretary-General has commissioned a global study on the implementation of resolution 1325. The study will highlight examples of good practice, implementation gaps and challenges, and priorities for action.

As one of the civil society drafters of UN resolution 1325 in 2000, Sanam N. Anderlini will share her reflections on the status of the Women, Peace and Security agenda and what effect the Global Study may have. FOKUS and PRIO invite Norwegian civil society organizations, researchers and other stakeholders to a discussion with Sanam N. Anderlini on how to drive the women, peace and security agenda forward.
