SOURCE launches an Online-Questionnaire

Building a network of excellence of Societal Security in Europe

News

8 September 2014

The SOURCE project has developed a questionnaire to understand how the different sectors involved in societal security interact, and whether or not they encounter any difficulties thereby. The aim is further to develop tools, processes and guidelines to improve the knowledge exchange between the different sectors.

The aim of the SOURCE Network of Excellence is to create a robust and sustainable virtual centre of excellence capable of exploring and advancing societal issues in security research and development.

Network-building is one of the core activities of the SOURCE project, as it is laying the foundation of the future Centre of Excellence which is the overall aim of the SOURCE project. The network represents actors involved with societal security in different ways. They are therefore divided in five sectors: social and human science researchers, technology developer or security industry actors, security policy makers, the civil society organisations and security technology end-users. The purpose of these activities will be to bring these sectors together, to make them talk to each other, and to improve mutual understanding.
