Audrey Kathleen Geissinger is a Doctoral Researcher at PRIO. Her PhD project is supervised by Simon Reid-Henry at PRIO and Grete Brochman at the Departement of Sociology and Human Geography at the University of Oslo, with the preliminary title Rights, Duties, Belonging and Citizenship during COVID-19. The project studies the way in which the duties placed on citizens in regards to the COVID-19 pandemic impacted citizens unevenly and is interested in the experiences of essential workers during the pandemic.

Audrey has a Master's degree in Global Development from the University of Bergen. In her thesis, she explored the civic participation and political engagement of immigrant women in Norway. This included, for instance, informal and contested forms of participation, such as personal interactions that challenge stereotypes and racism, and motherhood, examined through the lens of civic duty to uncover overlooked and undervalued forms of participation.
