Today (Sunday 24 October 2010), pioneering peace researcher Johan Galtung celebrates his 80th birthday.
Johan Galtung was the leader of the group of young, dedicated people, that founded PRIO in 1959. Without Galtung, PRIO would not have been there to celebrate it's 50th anniversary in 2009.
