PRIO is excited to announce that its two flagship journals, Journal of Peace Research and Security Dialogue, are now being published by Oxford University Press (OUP).

PRIO and OUP have officially launched their collaboration. The full archive, along with all new Advance articles, is now available on the OUP websites for Journal of Peace Research and Security Dialogue.

The transition marks an important step in securing a long-term, high-quality publishing future for both journals. By joining forces with the new publisher, PRIO will strengthen the journals’ global reach and ensure they continue to thrive in a rapidly changing scholarly landscape. OUP’s strong commitment to academic rigor and its transparent, forward-looking publishing practices make it a natural partner for PRIO.

“Oxford University Press is an outstanding publisher, and we greatly value the opportunity to collaborate with them. Through this partnership, we aim to further extend our reach, strengthen the long-term impact of the journals, and ensure that they remain leading platforms for scholarly exchange and innovation,” said Sebastian Schutte, Co-Editor of Journal of Peace Research.

“We look forward to working with OUP in the years ahead and to building a new partnership that can sustain our journals’ growth in the future,” said Bruno Oliveira Martins, Editor-in-Chief of Security Dialogue.

PRIO also wishes to express its gratitude to Sage Publishing for many years of productive collaboration. This partnership has been instrumental in building the journals’ international reputation and visibility within the research community.
