David Cunningham, Kristian Skrede Gleditsch and Idean Salehyan have been awarded the Outstanding Article of the year award for 2009 by the International Association for Conflict Management (IACM). The ceremony took place at the IACM annual meeting in Istanbul.
The August issue of the Journal of Conflict Resolution is a special issue dedicated to output from the Disaggregating Civil War project. Nils Petter Gleditsch, Ragnhild Nordås, and Idean Salehyan have published a paper in The International Peace Academy (IPA) series of Working Papers within the programme Coping with Crisis, Conflict, and Change: The United Nations and Evolving Capacities for Managing Global Crises, a four-year research and policy-facilitation program designed to generate fresh thinking about global crises and capacities for effective prevention and response.
The 2005 ENMISA Graduate Student Paper Award Committee announced the winners of the Martin O. Heisler Graduate Paper Award.
