Led by Anita Schjølset
Feb 2009 - Mar 2010

The focus of this project is to explore the variation in representation of women in armed forces across NATO countries. The research focuses on: Summary and analysis of existing research findings and literature on recruitment of female personnel across NATO countries. Discussion of strategies and techniques for recruiting women in NATO countries and assessment of the relevance for Norway.

The preliminary findings will be presented in a seminar about ‘Women in Uniform & Peacekeeping Operations’ at PRIO, tentatively in February, 2010.
