The conference will bring together international and local experts. In the morning there will be 2 panels. The first will examine good and bad practices in hydrocarbon wealth distribution, including case studies on Norway and Sudan. In addition it will consider the current debate in Israel on this theme. The second panel will consider options for wealth distribution in Cyprus, both within and between the two main communities on the island. In the afternoon, the focus will shift to regional hydrocarbon politics. In this third panel, there will be short presentations and roundtable discussion on the hydrocarbon policies for the Eastern Mediterranean that have been adopted by Greece, Turkey, the two sides in Cyprus, as well as Lebanon and Israel.
