Representatives from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, The Georgetown Institute of Women, Peace and Security and PRIO celebrated the launch of the Women, Peace and Security (WPS) Index today.

The WPS Index, which received widespread attention when it was showcased at the United Nations a few weeks ago, is developed jointly by the GIWPS and PRIO, and was funded by the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Torunn Tryggestad, Deputy Director of PRIO and Director of the PRIO Centre on Gender, Peace and Security, bid welcome before the Foreign Minister gave her address. Jeni Klugman of the GIWPS and Marianne Dahl of PRIO also gave presentations before a panel consisting of distinguished guests and PRIO Director Henrik Urdal provided comments and participated in a Q&A with the audience.
