Nabiiha is a research assistant at PRIO with a background in Social Anthropology. She holds a Master’s degree in the field, with a thesis examining physical impairments within ongoing war-to-peace transition efforts in Mogadishu, Somalia. Her research specifically focused on wartime-inflicted physical impairments among teenagers and young adults, exploring how these injuries shape their long‑term prospects for self‑sufficiency. Drawing on five months of ethnographic fieldwork in Mogadishu, she employed participant observation and semi-structured interviews as her primary methods. Nabiiha also holds a Bachelor’s degree in Social Anthropology with a minor in Psychology.
