Nabiiha is a research assistant at PRIO with a background in Social Anthropology. She recently completed her master’s degree, during which her thesis explored disability in the war-to-peace transition in Mogadishu, Somalia. Her research focused on war-inflicted impairments among teenagers and young adults, examining the long-term effects on their ability to live self-sufficiently. Drawing on five months of ethnographic fieldwork in Mogadishu, she employed participant observation and semi-structured interviews as her primary methods. Nabiiha also holds a Bachelor’s degree in Social Anthropology with a minor in Psychology.
