Peace Research Community Europe - Local Peace

The WG explores locally-grounded relational peace work - whether this takes place in Brussels, Bamako or Beirut. It approaches this theme by asking how researchers who study local peace in both conflict-ridden as well as more ‘peaceful’ contexts can inspire and talk to each other, exchange insights, and engage in comparative work. As research on local peace focuses on the role of very local actors, the WG engages local actors such as education professionals, social workers, and local authorities as much as possible to be able to get a better understanding of how peace researchers can help in multiplying peace-making practices on the local level.
