The PRIO Centre on Gender, Peace and Security was recently established in the autumn of 2015 to build on PRIO’s position as a leading research environment on gender, peace and security. To celebrate the establishment of the new centre, PRIO is hosting a launch event with guest speaker Professor Christine Chinkin, Emerita Professor of International Law and Director of the Centre on Women, Peace and Security at the London School of Economics. Professor Chinkin will give a talk on ‘Women, Peace and Security: What Does It Mean in the Contemporary World?’
