During the early days of March, project members and collaborators with the ANTICIPATE project gathered at PRIO in Oslo to discuss progress, challenges, and possibilities in anticipating the impact of armed conflict on human development. The workshop integrated perspectives and action points from policy and research on, for instance, the connection between conflict, food security, and nutrition. Some more technical presentations covered computational advancements with Multiplex pseudo-Earth Mover Divergence (Multi-pEMDiv) and opportunities to re-assess spatial and count precision of conflict events and fatalities.
