Save the children today published the War on Children report, which shows that the number of children living in conflict zones have increased by 75% in the last 20 years. The report is based on PRIO research.
PRIO is a founding member of the SDG 16 Data Initiative - a collective project by a consortium of organizations seeking to support the open tracking of the global commitments made by more than 194 countries on peace, justice, and strong institutions.
The initiative now launches it's first Global Report - the formal launch happened at the UN High-level Political Forum last week.
A new version of the Urban Social Disorder (USD) dataset is now available, featuring a longer time-span and vastly expanded set of cities across the developing world, making it one of the longest historical event datasets for conflict and protest data for the cities that it covers.
The latest version of the PRIO-GRID is now available at grid.prio.org, featuring several new dimensions and types of data, making it one of the best standardized platforms for visualization and analysis of conflict data.
