The Research School on Peace and Conflict invites applications for the PhD course "Advanced Qualitative Methods in Conflict Studies: Case Research and Process Analytics" to take place at PRIO in Oslo on 17-21 August 2020.

Jeff Checkel is Professor and Chair of International Politics at the European University Institute (EUI). He has been affiliated with PRIO since 2003, initially through the Centre for the Study of Civil War (CSCW). He was Working Group leader for the Centre's Group on Transnational and International Facets of Civil War (2006-2010) and Social Dynamics of Civil War (2011-2012). Checkel is also affiliated with PRIO's Research School on Peace and Conflict, offering doctoral seminars on civil wars, governance and qualitative methods.
