Giacomo is a Doctoral Researcher at the Peace Research Institute Oslo (PRIO). 

He works on the NORM project, which aims at investigating how China's Digital Silk Road shapes the digital world order and its norms, and the agency that recipient developing countries exercise in response. 

Giacomo's broad research interests pertain to the area of IR Theory, International Security, Science and Technology Studies, and Chinese Foreign Policy. 

Prior to joining PRIO, he was Junior Research Analyst at the Observatories Digital Innovation at the Polytechnic University of Milan and worked as Program and Research Intern at the George C. Marshall European Center for Security Studies.

Giacomo holds a MA in European and International Studies from the University of Trento and a BA in Political Science and International Relations from the University of Pavia.
