My main research interest is how secondary states manage the risks and pressures of intensifying great-power technological rivalry. My PhD project investigates digital technology procurement in Indonesia, Malaysia, and the Philippines.
I lead a Ministry of Defence project on the security implications of "the new space race" for Norway. I co-lead the PRIO Security and Technology Research Group, and previously coordinated the Peace Research summer school.
