Trude Stapnes is a Master Student at the Department of Psychology at the University of Oslo. She is writing her master thesis on the topic of: Individuals in protest: Motives for protest participation in Myanmar. Her project explores psychological driving forces in initiatives for societal change by looking at individual motives to participate in political protest. She has conducted fieldwork in Myanmar applying a qualitative research approach. 

Her master thesis is part of the project Societal Transformation in Conflict Contexts (TRANSFORM).
