Eva is currently writing her MA thesis in collaboration with PRIO exploring the role of environmental cooperation in the transformation of the Cypriot conflict. She has conducted a qualitative study, interviewing bi-communal environmental activists and key experts in Cyprus. Through this research project, issues regarding confidence building measures, environmental peacebuilding, the role of different actors in conflict resolution and the role of borders are highlighted and scrutinised.
In addition, Eva is interested in the role of refugees in shaping their actions, ethics in conflict resolution and EU border politics.

Close to 100 applications from talented artists around the world were received representing 35 countries, showing how many people and places are affected by war, displacement and political violence. The jury considered all applications carefully and after extensive deliberations, are honoured to present the five nominees.
Now more than ever we can see how the impact of war and violence changes societies and people. Artists are often at the frontline of documenting, sharing and transforming experiences of war, violent conflict, exile and displacement.
