Background

Trude Stapnes is currently working as a Research Assistant within the projects Societal Transformation in Conflict Contexts, Refugee Education: Building Durable Futures, Active Citizenship in Culturally and Religiously Diverse Societies and Social Media in Armed Conflict: The Case of Myanmar

She wrote her MA thesis at the Department of Psychology, University of Oslo and PRIO on the topic of: Individuals in protest: Motives for protest participation in Myanmar. Her project explored psychological driving forces in initiatives for societal change by looking at individual motives to participate in political protest. She conducted fieldwork in Myanmar applying a qualitative research approach. 

Her master thesis was part of the project Societal Transformation in Conflict Contexts (TRANSFORM).
