The Special Advisor on Project Development and Publications assists researchers in all program areas in developing their ideas into full proposals, and then developing their research into scholarly publications.

I hold a variety of workshops and presentations for researchers and students in higher education. Most of the workshops focus on developing writing skills, but I also hold workshops on presentation skills and grant writing.
The 1-day workshop (see attached course description) is primarily directed at MA students. This is held regularly at the University of Oslo (PECOS and the Department of Political Science), as well as at the University of Tromsø (Indigenous Studies, and Peace and Conflict Transformation). The workshop is also relevant as an introductory course for researchers, and has been held at a number of institutes including NOVA, NUPI, FAFO, and DMMH.
The 3-day workshop (see attached course description) is primarily directed at PhD students and researchers at all levels intending to publish in international journals. This workshop has been arranged in many venues, including the following:
- University and college sector: University of Oslo, University of Stavanger, University of Agder, Oslo University College, Telemark University College, Norwegian University of Life Sciences, Sogn and Fjordane University College, and the Norwegian School of Management.
- Institute sector: PRIO, CICERO, RBUP, Vox, SIFO, NOVA, NIBR, NINA, Vestlandsforskning
