Nobel Peace Prize Laureate Leymah Gbowee and prize-winning documentary filmmaker Abigail Disney were interviewed by PRIO's Inger Skjelsbæk.
At Vika Kino in Oslo, PRIO screens the film "Pray the Devil Back to Hell" about Nobel Peace Prize winner Leymah Gbowee's mobilization of Liberian women to end the country's civil war. Leymah Gbowee herself will be present, and so will Michelle Bachelet, Executive Director of UN Women; Jonas Gahr Støre, Norwegian Minister of Foreign Affairs; and the two film makers Abigail Disney and Gini Reticker.
The media wire IRIN has picked up CSCW associate James Pugel's report on Ex-Combatants in Liberia. The report was written for UNDP in 2006, and reported on the reintegration process for soldiers after the civil war.
