In a new PRIO Paper, Senior Researcher Wenche Iren Hauge assesses how the reintegration processes of ex-combatants affect their political participation. The paper draws on case studies from Guatemala, Nepal and Colombia.
On 9-10 September 2021, around 20 researchers met for a hybrid online-offline workshop to share their research on specific cases of ethical issues in peace negotiations and mediation. The workshop was part of the PRIO project 'On Fair Terms: The Ethics of Peace Negotiations and Mediation' (FAIR) and included both PRIO researchers and researchers from across the world.
PRIO researcher Wenche Hauge has written a report for the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The report's topic is demobilization and political participation of female fighters in Guatemala.
